Pours a clear reddish amber. Aroma of Granny Smith apples, but faint. Taste is initially malty with a bit of peppery spice in the middle that lingers through the finish. THere is a bit of a yeasty flavor as well, which I find common in Lagers. Overall drinkable with a bit of surprise with the pepper flavors.

BOTTLE. Some notes of malt and grain on the noze. Plain Jane as far as lagers go. I woundn’t say it is bad but I need to have one of these again.

Bottle. Pours a clear amber/red with off-white head. Aroma of light toasted grain, faint hints of caramel and a very light, fruit like hop presence. Flavor is much the same with a faint, pleasant sweetness and a very light, well balanced bitter in the finish. Light body with high carbonation. Overall, pleasant, easy drinking brew.

A pretty good Red Lager. One of the Leinenkugel staples in it’s long line of beers. I like it much better than most other "red" beers made in the USA. Leinenkugel’s does a pretty good job on most beers. Slightly malty taste and a bit of hops. Nothing overpowering, not incredibly great, but it isn’t Miller Lite or Bud either. A good beer to drink after cutting wood or mowing the yard.
