A pretty decent red beer. Pours orangish-red color. A smooth and not overpowering flavor. When you only want 2 or 3 three bottles this one isn’t a bad choice.

Pours copper, off white head. Aroma, malty, floral hops. Taste, hoppy spices, whit some light fruit notes. Aftertaste was medium with a lingering thick mouthfeel. Nothing special here.

This beer lives up to its name. It’s almost a cherry colored red, and it glows even in the darkness. Unfortunately that’s all it really offers. Red has almost no flavor. The only thing on the nose is a metallic stab. There is an unpleasant astringency all over as well as a displeasing sulfur character, much like well-cooked cabbage. Unlike its big brother Original, Red doesn’t invite further sips. Red orders you to drink it down so you don’t have to deal with it anymore.

UPDATED: OCT 21, 2008 Looks nice. Lots of sweet malts on the nose, and more in the flavor. Hardly any hops detectable. Impressive when put into the context that Leinies brewed it. Surprisingly drinkable.

Bottle. Poured a clear amber with a small tan head. Aroma of sweet malt. Flavor of caramel, bread and grassy hops. Decent beer.

Bottle. Pour is a coppery amber with a one-finger head and sweet malt aromas with a touch of metal thrown in there. Flavor is watery up front and then transitions to a kind of toffee malt finish.

Not much really here. No smell, very little taste. I’m not sure exactly what I’m supposed to be tasting. It’s completely drinkable, but not great. I suppose its good, but its not great. just....blah.

Light amber with a thin white head. Low malt and caramel in the aroma. A slight hop bitterness at the end. Very subdued but not bad.
