2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 BrotherGrendel (777) - San Diego, California, USA - AUG 18, 2008
On draft in Milwaukee. Appearance is a clear amber hue, minimal head and lacing. Smell is very subdued, some clean bread malts w/hints of caramel and grassy hops. Taste is bread and caramel malts, lager yeast, light grassy hops, finishes with light bitterness. Light-bodied, watery texture, high carbonation. Substandard lager with too much carbonation, easy-to-drink but lacking in any creative or bold flavors.

Pours a deep amber hue with a nice foamy head. Malty aroma. Quite drinkable with light hops making it a little bitter but still a rather smooth lager. A very good red beer.

Great American beer. Nice aroma but a better apperance, deep golden red with thick light tan head. Flavor: Somewhat malty, somewhat hoppy. Right balance of bitterness and goes down smooth. Definitely a beer I can drink all the time.
2.1 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 mmmbeer (987) - Austin, Texas, USA - JUL 16, 2008
(Sampled 7-4-08 at cousin’s party from 12 oz. bottle poured into clear plastic glass)- poured transparent dull red-brown, quarter finger off white head that actually stayed for a few minutes. Very weak aroma of sugar and malt. Hits the mouth with a high-thin body, malt is detectable and somewhat pleasant, some odd twang of sweetness and hops on the finish. Better than what I was drinking before hand, but the homemade rocket fuel later in the evening blew everything away that night.
