UPDATED: APR 21, 2008 Has a nice amber color and a sweet aroma. Somewhat hoppy taste that isn’t too bitter. Finishes smooth and is easy to drink.

Bottle. Caramel aroma without noticeable hop. Reddish amber color with a flat white head. Near medium body with almost creamy carbonation. Flavor is caramel somewhat balanced by grassy hop. More interesting than a pale lager. Finish tends towards dry, but not a great deal of bitter there. Drinks well.

If you are a fan of red beers then you must try this. Leinies Red has a fantastic taste and appearance and leaves you wanting more.

12 oz. bottle. Pours a clear red (duh!) with a whitish head that lasted through about half the glass. Mild sweet aroma along with a kind of metallic, almost iron smell as well. Flavor was pleasant but kind of blah. Some caramel sweetness, a bit of hops, but just sort of blah. A bit thin in the mouthfeel. I was disappointed - I was hoping for more.

Bottle. Pours a red amber color with a thin tan head. Aroma is of malt and caramel. Taste is of caramel, malt and is kind of sweet. Has a really good mouthfeel. Finishes clean, goes down smooth and is almost too easy to drink. Overall, this is a pretty enjoyable beer.

I love the fine flavor tones. I will get this when it is on tap.

12oz bottle: Average off-white head with some lacing. Light hoppy aroma with a slight hint of caramel and oak. Good flavor with a hint of sweetness that fades to a drier finish. A pretty solid red lager that can sometimes be found at a price comparable to some inferior macros.

Deep copper pour with a thin, white head that doesn’t stick around. Crisp with a slight bite. Very underrated.
