2.1 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 Hinez57 (160) - Clinton, Mississippi, USA - JAN 19, 2008
Pours a nice red color with off white head. Aroma catches lightly hopped spiciness and malt. Flavor is decent, but tends to be really hurt by an odd/off flavor. I get a metallic undertone. Palate is decent, but slightly lacking. Overall I’d drink this over some other beers.... but I’d struggle to name but a hand full of beers Linenkugel Red is better than. Not a bad beer, just a boring one, add in the slightly overcarbed mouthfeel and off flavor.... well you get the picture, I’ll try another just to make sure this wasn’t a bad bottle.
2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 KansasBear (4) - Kansas, USA - JAN 18, 2008 does not count
Pours a rich burnt amber color. Head dissipates quickly. Over abundance of hops flavor, with little to no other flavors.
2.1 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 joekfsu (138) - Boardman, Ohio, USA - JAN 16, 2008
12 oz bottle. Pours clear amber with 1.5 cm off-white head that is quickly diminishing. Aroma is very light and slightly sweet. Initial flavor is balanced with malts and hops, no distinct flavors, lightly flavored, pretty watered down. No real aftertaste. Light, watery body, no lacing, no alcohol noted. Drinkable as better than some domestics from macrobrewers, but would most likely need a gun to my head to drink it again.
2.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 biggmike (480) - Hattiesburg, Mississippi, USA - JAN 16, 2008
Pours an amber/red color with decent white head that hung around a while. Aroma is not real strong, but is a bit malty. Flavor doesnt really have any real strong dominant characteristics either. Mouthfeel is okay and lacing was light. Average beer that is easy drinking.
3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 TheBeerGod909 (43) - Aurora, Illinois, USA - JAN 9, 2008
Pours with a moderate off-white head. Aroma is also moderate, but inviting. Flavor is slightly hoppy, almost as robust as a weak IPA. Not a bad beer.
2.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 mrw1zard (54) - Birmingham, Alabama, USA - JAN 2, 2008
Very similar to Killian’s Irish Red, very drinkable, could be a good session beer. Nothing extra special out of the ordinary about it though.

Discovered this gem at a Milwaukee Bucks game. Not usually much of a red fan, but this one hit the spot. Opened the world of Leinenkugal to me.
