3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 swigswthwolves (15) - Glendale Heights, Illinois, USA - OCT 24, 2011
UPDATED: OCT 25, 2011 Pours a dark orange-red and is very eager to form a creamy off-white head. Plenty of carbonation visibly rising through the glass makes this an enticing looking beer. Sips a mellow malty flavor and leaves me interested in taking another sip right away. Though it doesn’t blow me away it is a nice compliment to the Leinie’s fall sampler pack and a good beer to drink on occasion.

Reddish amber with a vanilla-colored head. Moderate malt on the nose, a bit more in the flavor, offset by a hint of hops. Nice soft lager mouthfeel, medium carbonation, nothing in the finish.
4.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 seymour (607) - Saint Louis, Missouri, USA - SEP 28, 2011
Okay, so here’s the thing. I really love Leinenkugel beers. Almost all of them, but Red most of all. I know they’re inexpensive. I know they’re owned by Miller. I know they use "inferior" six-row barley. I know they use some non-malted grains and adjuncts. I know they use "inferior" Cluster hops. I know they’re almost all highly-carbonated, light-bodied lagers. So what, snobs? These beers are delicious, and I’m not just saying that because I grew up canoeing the deep woods rivers of Wisconsin. Brilliant, transparent red color with tall, creamy off-white head. Flavors of caramel malts, roasted grains and mild hops blend harmoniously to a crisp, dry finish. So, so good. I always order this on tap in a chilled, nucleated glass at Giordano’s Pizza. Inexplicably, this isn’t distributed to Missouri, so I always bring home a 12-pack from Chicago. Worth the road trip, highly recommended.

I’m a big fan of Leinenkugel’s beers. I find this one to be unimpressive and just average in taste.
2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 burg326 (600) - Florida, USA - SEP 12, 2011
12 ounce bottle that pours a pretty nice amber red color, aroma oof sweet malt and hops. Flavor is the same with a little bitterness added. Nothing special but ok brew.
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 gpekar (391) - Maryland, USA - AUG 29, 2011
Poured a rich reddish copper with lots of carbonation bubbles rising up from the bottom of the glass. There was a tall foamy off-white head initially that reduced to just a film half way through the glass. There was a mild malt aroma and just a hint of citrus hops. The initial taste was somewhat metallic with a little bit of malt sweetness followed by a very light bitter lager finish. Just an average beer, but it did have nice color in the glass.
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 verymerrymonk (392) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - AUG 22, 2011
Pours a red body with next to no head. Very thin initially, followed by malt sweetness and a bittersweet finish.
