3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20 themadmumis (347) - Westminster, Maryland, USA - SEP 15, 2006
Slightly distinct taste with medium body, mellow aroma and decent pallet. Standard lager that isn’t abrasive and is well rounded.
3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 stegosaurus (1882) - Levittown, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 12, 2006
Bottle sampled with Beerded_one from his west coast connection. pours red\amber with a small white head. Aroma is bready and sweet malts. The flavor is slightly sweet, bread, and slight traces of hops. Ok brew.
2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 NachlamSie (2077) - Tennessee, USA - AUG 31, 2006
Bottle. Pours a solid, clear red with a tall foamy head. The aroma is sweet and malty with suggestions of honey and biscuits. No off flavors here, just crisp clean malts and a hint of papery hops. I really expect very little from this style, and this meets my low criteria. Hell, this is way better than a Killian’s. I’m drinking it now with some grilled hot dogs and it works just fine with a meal.
2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 troyc (2014) - Oklahoma, USA - AUG 11, 2006
(Tap) Pours reddish brown with very little head. Sweet malty notes abound, but without much in the way of hops. Pretty refreshing, but not the most complex beer I’ve ever had.
2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 marchcow (664) - Coralville, Iowa, USA - AUG 7, 2006
On tap at a baseball game. This looked like the best beer available at the time. Very average flavor. Color was nice but other than that all round average beer.
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 mstockton (191) - Frankfurt, Hesse, GERMANY - JUL 29, 2006
Pretty decent beer. I recently tried it on a plane from the can. Poured with a thick amber head. Nice flavor...I suppose it’s better than Killian’s but nothing extremely special.
2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 daboskabouter (1470) - Fergus, Ontario, CANADA - JUL 25, 2006
Weak dark lager, similar to something like Rickard’s Red, only not as sweet. It is a little sweet, but the defining moment I think is when you realize at the end that there is very little bitterness to be found. Unspectacular.
2 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 AlKHall (161) - West Hartford, Connecticut, USA - JUL 20, 2006
amber brownish appearance. Aroma is doughy. Large head. Flavor is rather thin with some hints of metal and bitterness. Its crisp - not bad - a thirst quencher.
