Pours clear amber with a big, off-white head. The aroma is very light, a touch of buttered bread. The flavor is thin, watery and mettalic, with some sweetness and a touch of bitterness at the end. The mouthfeel is watery with soft carbonation.

Fairly good beer. A nice malty aroma and pours a nice reddish color. It is very smooth and tastes good.

Leine’s red. I’ve been drinking this beer for as long as I’ve been drinking beer. I would consider this the best that they have to offer.
A transparent red color. A roasted malt aroma. This comparable to Fat Tire with a bit more bitterness and less of the vegetable taste. This is a good choice for a fishing trip when you’re drinking out of the bottle.

From a 12 oz bottle. A light amber pour with an off white head. A decent malty aroma. A good sweet malt flavor without much bitter but some. Not a bad beer at all.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 henry3r (586) - Wichita, Kansas, USA - JUN 19, 2006
The 12 ounce bottle poured a crystal clear reddish amber beverage with a medium sized off-white frothy head that was mostly diminishing and left good lacing on the glass. The aroma was quite subtle. There was just a hint of sweet caramel roasted malts accompanied by the light sweet fruitiness of pear. The body was light to medium with active carbonation and a light, crisp somewhat watery texture. The flavor started off slightly on the sweet side. At the finish it it had turned lightly bitter. The finish was medium-long in duration.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 bubbleflubber (1206) - Asheville, North Carolina, USA - JUN 18, 2006
Medium-amber pour with a medium head, no real retention. The nose is of candied citrus fruit and slight copper. There is a caramel effervescence with tartness, some copper... finishing with a slightly less-than-complex biscuity-hopped back. Feels a little lighter than expected, with a crisp, quick finish. It feels a bit unilateral overall, lacking in huge depth and complexity.

12oz bottle-An aroma of malt and sweetness on a dark red body with a head that dissipated rather quickly. A taste of malt that grows stronger towards the back end. A pretty decent red.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Quixote18 (230) - Johnson City, Tennessee, USA - JUN 3, 2006
Bottle. The aroma was primarily sweet & slightly biscuity malt that seemed to get progressively more malty as it warmed. The color was amber-red, with a medium- lasting off-white head. The body was medium to light and was crisp from being a little overcarbonated. Nothing outstanding, but well-balanced and refreshing. This is a situation where the whole is much better than the sum of the parts.
