Draught. Clear amber color with bubbly tan head. Metallic hop nose with some caramel and stale grapes. Very thin body without much flavor other than a bit of caramel and cereal grain. There is also a prominent metallic aftertaste which adds to the overall lack of appeal of this beer.

UPDATED: MAY 21, 2007 The metallic hops, caramel, grainy malt, and nuts make this a nice smelling beer but still a little macro if you know what I mean. The appearance is reddish with a medium head that goes away pretty fast. The flavor is mostly good. I enjoy the toasted malt and brown sugar very much. But right before the nice malty aftertaste there is a chemical astringent bitterness that does not seem to work. But, other than that it is a well made beer coming from this brewer. Also of note is the fact that this beer is best when very cold and does not improve as it warms.

Sweet malt, brown sugar and caramel with a moderately bitter hoppiness that help pull this one out of the swill catagory. Mouthfeel a little thinner than I like.

Nice, inexpensive beer. Not bad for long drinking sessions...but still has the genric "Red" beer taste like Killians.

(bottle - 12 oz) Nice amber color with a puffy and lasting tan head. The aroma is a gentle mix of hops, malt and boiled vegetables. Taste is very light on the hops with a nice malt balance and a very watery finish. The taste leaves your mouth very quickly and leaves only the slightest bitterness on the palate. Extremely watery and could use a little more flavor.

Pours a nice amber from the bottle. Head retention is good and consists of tiny light-colored bubbles. Aromatic hops dominate the aroma. Not being a hop head, this one is OK. Palate is smooth and somewhat creamy. Carbonation doesn’t overtake the experience either. The body is somewhat thin. There is some malty flavor, balanced with some hop crispness.

Overall, not that bad. One of the few macros that you can actually smell and taste the hops. Somewhat tasty but too watery.

Sampled from bottle. Pours clear copper-red with a thin white head. Aroma resembles toasted bread and maple syrup. Flavor is balanced and bready with a bit of caramel. Medium-light body and well-carbonated. Uninspired, but very drinkable.
