2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 TheBeerGod (3960) - Newport News, Virginia, USA - OCT 21, 2005
For some reason, this was called Leinenkugels "Pilsener" on the draft board at County Grill. I scanned the other "popular" Leinenkugels beers and this was the only one I could think it was. Draft. Reddish amber bodied with a small off-white head. Nose is slightly hoppy with caramel and sweet malts and light fruit aromas. Taste is mild hop/citrus with caramel, sweet malts and dried fruits. Not very complex but drinkable and complimentary to the food. Body is light-medium with mild carbonation feel. Finishes with a diminishing hop profile and a drier maltiness. Some light caramel still comes through here as do more dried fruit notes. Maybe a hint of bread as well. Not bad!
2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 pinkzambia (1155) - Boise, Idaho, USA - OCT 11, 2005
Bottle: What can I say? Pretty basic. Very popular in Minnesota and Wisconsin because it is available. Anyway, mainly a malty beverage with faint echoes of wheat and barley. Thin and watery. Overall, the beer is soapy and I am not really into that sort of thing.
3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 HogTownHarry (4809) - Toronto (Harbourfront), Ontario, CANADA - OCT 3, 2005
Bottle (12oz). Courtesy of my friend Alan G. Poured slightly hazy copper with a good-sized straw-coloured fizzy-foamy lasting head. Aroma’s a little funky - there’s roast malt and hops, but it’s a bit vegetal. Taste is quite pleasant - caramel roast malt, some mild resiny notes, detectable hops - bit like a woody vienna lager. Moutfeel is pretty average, a touch acidic perhaps, decent body for a lager. Other than the funky aroma, pretty solid darker lager.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 ehhdayton (1188) - USA - OCT 3, 2005
The aroma is slightly fruity and the color is reddish/oarnge. The head is tan. Red is crisp and clean with a nice bitterness.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 TINOZACCA (146) - Cleveland, Ohio, USA - SEP 24, 2005
This beer has a nice color with a nice head. But the head fades, not quickly, but not slow either. The beer has a nice malt, hops, and some fruit flavor. The aroma is strong with a lot of fruit. A nice beer for people who don’t usually drink reds, or darks.

Pour is a nice orange with a nice white head. Aroma is malty with notes of grass. Flavor is a nice deep malt with lots of roasted nut. Very pleasing everyday brew. Extra points for being available almost every where and always easy on the wallet.

Orange amber pour, with a creamy head. Dusty malt aroma. Tangy rushed malt flavor, a hint of caramel and nuts. Finishes slightly dry.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 punkeedo (492) - Covington, Louisiana, USA - SEP 8, 2005
This is a nice brew. Reminiscent of Killian’s Irish Red--maybe just because it was on my mind, because of the similar names. This is a pretty decent, more standard lager. It’s been a while since I’ve had a sweet lager like this one. It is very similar to some marzens, while it does not have as complex a palate.
