Simple beer, but for some reason I like it. Reddish color, medium head. Slightly hoppy, slightly hoppy, caramelized malts. Nice flavor. Finish is smooth. Aftertaste is not very hoppy, crisp with a slight bitterness

Picked up a bottle from Cellars LexLarp. Pours a clear auburn pale with an off-white fluffy head. Aroma of caramel, some herbs and corn bread. Tastes like a regular lager with some hints of berries. Finish is clean and crisp. nothing fancy about this one.

Bottle (12oz). Courtesy of my friend Alan G. Poured slightly hazy copper with a good-sized straw-coloured fizzy-foamy lasting head. Aroma’s a little funky - there’s roast malt and hops, but it’s a bit vegetal. Taste is quite pleasant - caramel roast malt, some mild resiny notes, detectable hops - bit like a woody vienna lager. Moutfeel is pretty average, a touch acidic perhaps, decent body for a lager. Other than the funky aroma, pretty solid darker lager.

I liked this one almost as much as Killian’s. Similar color and flavor but this one seemed a little more carbonated but that may be because I had it in a keg. If I was having a Leinie I would take the Creamy Dark hands down.

Like other Leinie's beer, it leaves a cheesy aftertaste in my mouth. Has a nice hops flavoring. A little bit of bitter taste. Never much head on it when we get a pitcher at the bar.

Candied red with a toffee-appearing head. There's a caramel-malt aroma followed by a sweet malty flavor that's overly corn-starchy.

On tap at Soldier Field, Chicago. GO BEARS! Dark copper, medium almond head. As I found with the Octoberfest, there was a low aroma of grains, caramel, and sulphur. Grainy palate with a little caramel sweetness, some metal in the finish. I had a hard time differentiating the Octoberfest from Red. As I stated before, if your here for an awesome day of football, go for the Goose Island offerings at the stadium.

Decent body, slight reddish hue, more malty-sweet than I expected, just enough hops for you to notice; much better than the Honey Wheat, but still not good. Have I gotten that much more discerning in the 3 years since I drank this stuff every day, or has Miller really ruined this brewery?

Pours copper, off white head. Aroma, malty, floral hops. Taste, hoppy spices, whit some light fruit notes. Aftertaste was medium with a lingering thick mouthfeel. Nothing special here.

For some reason, this was called Leinenkugels "Pilsener" on the draft board at County Grill. I scanned the other "popular" Leinenkugels beers and this was the only one I could think it was. Draft. Reddish amber bodied with a small off-white head. Nose is slightly hoppy with caramel and sweet malts and light fruit aromas. Taste is mild hop/citrus with caramel, sweet malts and dried fruits. Not very complex but drinkable and complimentary to the food. Body is light-medium with mild carbonation feel. Finishes with a diminishing hop profile and a drier maltiness. Some light caramel still comes through here as do more dried fruit notes. Maybe a hint of bread as well. Not bad!
