Not a bad brew. Nice color, and a good aroma. Has decent malts as well. It's a drinkable beer.

12oz bottle - pours clear amber with little off-white head. Nose is caramel with grassy hops. Flavor adds toastiness. Taste is a little sweet and faintly bitter. Metallic aftertaste. flat but could be better is served quite cold.

12 oz bottle. Amber color with real thin white head. No retention. Very straight forward nose and taste. Grain, light malt and a light generic hop crispness. Better then Bud, Miller or Coors but nothing to seek out.

Thin, lager-like mouthfeel. Pretty light in taste and easy to drink. Mouthfeel was especially thin, though. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. This was my "gateway" beer, that pulled me out of the mass produced crap. I remember it fondly, unfortunately my recent tasting doesn’t back up that memory. Pours deep amber-red with a medium fine head. Malty aroma and flavor, nothing special about it at all. Mildly unpleasant aftertaste.

12oz bottle poured into a shaker. Pours a clear dark amber with about 2 fingers of off-white head. Aroma of caramel, grains and fruitcake. Taste is light bitter. Caramel, fruit and a little citrus hops. Medium bodied with a somewhat thin texture. Lively carbonation and a decently long finish. Overall, not bad. Much better than I was expecting for Leinie.

Meh. Dark reddish pour, mostly white head. Caramel malt and spent hops, some grainy notes in the nose. Flavor is sweet/hoppy and boring as hell.

Originally reviewed: 12/23/11. Was up in WI for the holidays this last week, and went out for a burger with my brothers, and wanted something light and crisp. Went with this. Poured into a pint glass. Pours an unsurprising copper red with a thin beige head on top. Decent lace left behind. The nose is mild with slight hop scent, but mostly sweet malts and breads. Good clean mouthfeel. Crisp with decent carbonation. A nice sweet lager here. Light toffee, fresh bread, little bit of graham cracker. Nice beer. Nothing earth-shattering, but a beer I wouldn’t turn down.

Taste is fruit, pepper, malt and red chilies. Actually, not a bad beer. Smooth and easy drinking.
