2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 joshiez (48) - USA - AUG 31, 2008Not much really here. No smell, very little taste. I’m not sure exactly what I’m supposed to be tasting. It’s completely drinkable, but not great. I suppose its good, but its not great. just....blah.

A - Pours a clear amber red with a thick off-white cap.
S - Sweet caramel malt, light sour dough bread, subtle yeast.
T - Toasted grain, caramel malt, hints of tangy lemon and cherry, clean grassy hops add slight bitterness. Finishes clean crisp with a bready aftertaste.
M - Light to medium body, stingy carbonation off the top but thins out towards the finish.
This is way better than I expected it to be. Lots of clean flavors and very refreshing. One of the best I’ve had from this brewery.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 DrSilverworm (2733) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - MAY 4, 2013
12oz bottle, enjoyed with at a LaRosa’s with a philly calzone. Best by June/03/13. Clear red / orange amber color. Very lively carbonation. Thin off-white head. Little lace. Light toasty malt. Metallic flavor. Lightly spicy hop. Medium body. More smooth carbonation. Light bitter taste, more sweet. OK. Kind of just a slightly macro-tasting red lager. It’s got that light metal taste. Kind of uninspired and not too flavorful overall, though not bad.

UPDATED: MAR 22, 2013 Not to bad for the style, a little on the light side of a red with a shallow mouth feel

2.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 tonyth1965 (30) - Illinois, USA - FEB 8, 2013
UPDATED: FEB 11, 2013 From memory. As with the Creamy Dark, nothing really stood out about this beer, but it?s still degrees above a run-of-the-mill American lager.
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 hockeybeerguy (212) - Portland, Maine, USA - FEB 7, 2013
It pours a cloudy, yet dark brown, and gives a more reddish body. Some light carbonation is seen rising. No lacing is left. The smell has some malts up front with no hops whatsoever. The taste is more combined between the malts and the hops. The palate is light to medium with that same crispness that’s always been there over the years I’ve had this. Overall, this is a decent Vienna Lager that I’m unsure if I would have again, probably depend on what else was served.
