3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
Dark beer with a slight amber hue. Aroma is neutral, somewhat metallic. Mouthfeel is very smooth, just a hint of bitter fizzy. Tastes like molasses, malty, and vanilla. Good beer.

2.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Aroma: Smoke and spruce fairly faint.
Appearance: Dark brown blood red tinges in light light tan head.
Taste: Highly smokey almost like a good cigar notes of coffee and chocolate yet oddly almost no Vanilla.
Palate: Thick less than average carbonation.
Overall: while far above compliant it is just not very "Vanilla Porter" I got this expecting sweetness with some hops a nice finish to a meal and i did not get anything of the sort. perhaps I was to harsh as I have has a few Vanilla Porters and this one is just while by no means bad not even merely average, It is damn good it just feels more "Smoked black Porter" than "Vanilla Porter" kind and that is of like getting Death Metal when you wanted Smooth Jazz.

A pretty straightforward porter with vanilla character. A bit thin, but definitely has drinkibility.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours a barely translucent chocolate brown with a nice light tan head. Aroma has notes of roast malt, coffee, caramel and vanilla. Flavor is mainly caramel and vanilla, rather sweet. Mouthfeel is a bit thin and not too fizzy. OK if not outstanding.

1.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
Pours brown with ruby highlights and a creamy head. Vanilla is very present, tastes artificial and overpowering. Thin for a porter. Not good.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
My rating might lower if I had more than one. It's a very good beer, but its sweetness could get a little cloying after one.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
12oz bottle from Crossroads Spirits. Pour a thin clear dark brown color with a small fast fading foamy khaki head. Aroma of roasted coffee, dark cocoa, ash, but not getting any vanilla in the aroma. Taste of burnt coffee, bitter dark chocolate, ash, and a hint of vanilla extract in the aftertaste.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Only a mild rep to what a Xmas porter should taste like. Mild malts with a bland finish. Slight bits of vanilla and wood are in a secondary taste
