Poured from a 12 ounce bottle. The aroma is filled with vanilla and green apple(acetaldehyde?), slight roasted malt character. The flavor is dominated by the vanilla. There is a creamy mouth feel. Overall this is thin and bland.

You can definitely taste the vanilla - it gives the beer more sweetness than most porters. Some carmel notes as well. Very dark brown, with a medium brown head.

Carol’s chili fest. Wasn’t expecting to like this, but actually had a lot of good flavor and could have had a few of these. I liked the sweetness in this, a good balance with the lightly roasted malt and the sweet vanilla flavor. Wasn’t too overbearing at all. Surprisingly good.

On tap at Tanners in Kimberly. Pours dark brown with a cream colored head and great lacing. Looks luscious. Aroma has caramel. And caramel. Taste is of sweet caramel, some roast with hints of vanilla - a bit thin. Meh - ok.

Doesn’t smell great, but it is deliciously comforting. Love drinking this after a cold day outside.
