3.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Nice, really smooth beer. Pours a dark color, taste faintly of chocolate. I think this would be a real good intro beer for some who hasnít tried/doesnít like dark brews. Easy to drink!

2.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Average with some flaws. Aroma was very malty with tiny bits of roasted character and vanilla. Typically dark brown color with a sustainable head. Palate was full but left a malty puckering feel that was not all that pleasant, which was not from souring, just imbalance. Flavors were roasted and vanilla with a little nuttiness. The hops presence was minimal with the maltiness being somewhat dominating. Not worth a return visit.

2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle. Poured dark brown with a tan head. Smelled like a vanilla cola or some sort. Thin, fizzy vanilla and cola flavor. Really filling. I like some of their stuff but this isnít one of them.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Very nice and refreshing one. With some smooth sweet looks and creamy thin in the shape.

1.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 4/20
This beer had the promise of being something really special. A great style by an imaginative brewery. Unfortunately, it was saccharine and thin, with more sugar and fake vanilla flavor than the notes that make porters great.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Reddish brown with light chocolate colored creamy head, caramel aroma, caramel taste with a hint of vanilla, medium carbonation, medium finish with slight bitterness at the end. A bit thin bodied but not bad.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Some vanilla and a light roast aroma. Pours light brown with ok head and lacing. Finishes a little bitter. Not super interesting. Average to fizzy carbonation. Tap at some bar I donít remember.

2.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 8/20
UPDATED: JUL 18, 2014 Can: Deep brown, dark ruby-red body with a khaki foam that sits nicely at a quarter-inch for some time. Aroma is sweet vanilla extract, lightly roasted & dark malt, a hint of chocolate... Residually sweet, thatís for sure. Taste confirms... lots of sweetness. Mild oak-y woodchip essence to it with lots of roasted malts. Vanilla isnít as heavy on the palate as the nose, but the sweetness is amped up. Sticky, slick residual brown sugars all around. Mild honey in the finish, dense coffee bean aftertaste with small vanilla notes. Mouth feel loses me, though... Too thin & sharply carbonated for a porter. What the hell? Fix the carbonation/body & attenuate the damn beer just a little more, & it would actually be a nice, super cheap, canned porter. As it stands... Mediocre.
