Doesn’t smell great, but it is deliciously comforting. Love drinking this after a cold day outside.

on tap, dark brown with creamy tan head, aroma of chocolate and vanilla, flavor is similar albeit a little soft as expected , but decent smooth beer

Pours a deep amber color with a foamy off white head. Vanilla dominates the nose, but I do also get a bit of chocolate and roasty coffee. Ugh, just obnoxious vanilla flavor all the way down. Way over the top. With the thin, flat body, it does go down pretty easily. That taste is just awful. If 7 year olds were allowed to drink, this is the beer that would be marketed to them.

Very dark in color and dark head. Smells of chocolate with vanilla. Can taste a chocolate flavor, and vanilla. Very smooth texture. Not much of an aftertaste. Good beer.

Bottle from Total Wine in Sacramento, CA. Pours ruddy dark brown with a creamy/foamy light tan head. Fairly faint chocolate and vanilla aromas. Arguably medium body. There’s smooth burnt malt, and some chocolate, and a heavy dose of vanilla which dominates the not quite dry finish. Drinkable. Velvety? Arguable. It is smooth.

Poured from bottle. Good vanilla and chocolate smell and flavor. Not to over powering. Smooth. Somewhat rich. I surprisingly like this

Bottle at a party. Poured a dark mahogany with a white top that lasted throughout but little to no lacing. Taste of nuts (either pecan or hazelnut), vanilla, cream soda, caramel malts, and slight coco and sweet malts. Nicely carbonated. All in all, nothing special but not bad

Aroma of light roasted malts and some chocolate, slight coffee - smooth vanilla in the background. Tastes pretty boring, but not offensive. Decent porter, vanilla is nice.

UPDATED: JAN 18, 2013 Ok but a little lacking. Decent flavors and some hops in the finish. Not a fan of this one.
