COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Leinenkugelís Snowdrift Vanilla Porter is a robust and velvety addition to Leinenkugelís seasonal selection. This porter-style beer is aged on real vanilla to reveal rich layers of caramel, coffee and chocolate that is ideal for the season.

Bottle. Nice coffee and toffee nose with strong vanilla character. Dark brown color with reddish tint. Thick foamy light brown head. Lacing was heavy in the glass. Flavors of vanilla, coffee, and toasted malts. Rich, and sugary, strong flavor, but at times it came on too strong, as if it was artificial, but in any case an enjoyable beer.

Brown pour with hints of red and off white head. Aroma is light roasted malt and vanilla. Flavor is sweet malt and alot of vanilla. Pretty dominated by a fake vanilla flavor. A tad of a sour finish. Medium body with ok carbonation. A roast malt bitter and a sweet vanilla finish. A beer I could but wouldnít drink 6 of.

Color is dark brown, not quite black, with little head showing. Mild vanilla and maybe a little chocolate show on the nose. Body is light, too thin for a porter. Thereís a hint of some vanilla in the taste and a little nuttiness. Both mild, and not much else going on other than a little candylike sweetness. No much vanilla, not much porter, but the snowdrift is apparent in the near wateriness of the body and flavor.

Love this beer. I donít normally care for Porters, but this is excellent. Disappointed when it went out of season.

Pours a dark chocolate brown with a light brown head. Smells of coffee and chocolate. Taste of vanilla, coffee, chocolate, and roasted malts. Light carbonation and short finish.

This pours a very dark brown color with a slight head. Some there is a slight robust aroma mixed with sweet malts. The taste is decent but the volume and the vanilla flavor could use some work. Itís a little thinner than I imagined and the vanilla does stand out too much either. A fairly decent dark beer from Leineís.

Would never buy, but someone had a variety pack so i said why not, we were ice fishing and there was no other beer. I dont know much about the flavor of vanilla, honestly the beer was too cold. but the color was really nice, the smell was sweet and malty. The flavor was pretty mild with sweet malt the predominating flavor, not very porter-y but i dont know the style that well anyway. not what I was expecting, but pleasant. wont have it again, but its fine.

12 oz bottle from a friend at work. You can really taste the layers of malt they used and the vanilla is just perfect. I really think the ratings are a bit low for this fine porter.

This one was a surprise. Leinenkuegel can surprise you sometimes. Although not as rich as many porters, this one is easy to drink and tastes great. If you like vanilla, itís a winner. Itís very smooth and sweet.
