3.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Strong coffee color with tan head. Malty, chocolate aroma with light vanilla undertones. Flavor is light to medium for a porter. Smooth and overall well-rounded. If it had more depth/body, it would be even better. One of my new go-to brews.

2.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
This is one of those beers that tastes like a high-end cream soda. Thereís loads and loads of vanilla, a good deal of sweetness and prickly carbonation. It is not exactly a masterpiece of brewcraft but itís actually kind of tasty. Behind all the soda-like notes there seems to live a mild and fairly decent dark lager of some sort. This is fun to try but definitely you will want to have a spare schoolchild around to drink the rest of it after your first few sips.

2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Clear, reddish brown pour with a 1 finger, creamy tan head. Aroma is nutty, sweet chocolate, light vanilla and toffee. Flavor is nutty, (think hazelnut syrup and pine nuts), dusty chocolate, light roast toffee and a medicinal bitterness to the finish that sort of wrecks the experience. Medium bodied, syrupy and has a moderate strength, but quite sharp carbonation. Decent.

Tap - Good size foamy head, very dark brown color, rosted malt aroma and flavor with a good size kick of vanilla smoothness

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Tastes like vanilla beans. Iím not sure it can have any more vanilla in it. Slight hint of chocolate.

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
I think thereís a little vanilla in a lot of porters, but the focus on it here gives a yogurty, floral vibe thatís certainly tasty but serves more than anything else to make up for the lack of fullness and balance. Finish is sort of fakey and sticky. I wouldnít turn one of these down but itís nothing to rave about.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a dark brownish black color with a small off-white head. Aroma is vanilla and chocolate malts. The taste is creamy vanilla with hints of caramel, chocolate, and coffee. It has a great aftertaste. A good overall brew.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
12oz pour - Not altogether bad. Some nice maltiness with, yes, a decent amount of vanilla on the back end. Little cola like, but this exceeded my expectations.

Aside from your typical chocolate, roasted malt and coffee flavors; There is a flavor of Vanilla on the back of the palate, which isnít as strong as one would like. Thereís nothing bad about this beer but if youíre looking for a really good vanilla porter, try out Breckenridgeís Vanilla Porter instead
