Leinenkugelís Snowdrift Vanilla Porter is a robust and velvety addition to Leinenkugelís seasonal selection. This porter-style beer is aged on real vanilla to reveal rich layers of caramel, coffee and chocolate that is ideal for the season.

Dark tan pour not much of a white head. Aroma was clearly vanilla and roast malts. Palate was very thin and a bit watery. Flavor wasnít bad but want really good either. Vanilla was the dominant taste but overly done sweet extract notes came through strongly over some light roastt malts. Easy to drink but not much there to talk about.

Not a bad attempt at a vanilla porter but its not what you expect for a winter brewed beer. A little too vanilla-y and the flavor dont really come together correctly.

Dark brown in color, tan head. Nice aroma a tad light with the vanilla but the porter malts come through nicely. Nice flavor this was a good after dinner beer or a good pasta beer.

Mild taste with creamy, slight vanilla wave. Stays smooth throughout. Limited aftertaste. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

The vanilla overtakes for me. I get Dr pepper and jack Daniels honey. Creamy, medium body. I like it and I donít...too sweet?

I had to spend $14 for a twelve pack just to try this so I hope itís worth it - pours like a coke - aroma of vanilla and yeast - high carbonation detracts from the light vanilla and the roasted malt is pretty far in the back but itís not terrible.. not great and with a little less carbonation it would be better

From the bottle, pours black with a short off white head. Aroma is light, but distinctly chocolate, some vanilla. Smooth, rich tastes of milk chocolate, vanilla beans, whipped cream and marshmallows. Subtle porter flavors and more like a stout. This is really good on a cold day.

Dark opaque black, thin tan head; aroma a hint of chocolate; Flava the same plus dry roastiness notes of root beer sweetness; feels a tax light like soda; finishes dry and toasty

Draft at Ted Montana in Chicago. Was expecting alot less, have never had to much luck with vanilla porters, but this beer was great! Aroma is faint and missing some body, but very smooth and wonderful vanilla finish.

Pour out of 12 oz bottle, dark brownish black pour with thin slightly off white/tan head, aroma brought notes of vanilla, slightly artificial but not bad, some slight roast, coffee, caramel, hints of cocoa powder as well. Taste is very straightforward, vanilla notes mix right into coffee, chocolate, and finishing with some roasted malts, slightly bitter. While its straightforward, I actually like this style of beer, so it worked for me. A bit thin on the palate.
