Leinenkugel’s Snowdrift Vanilla Porter is a robust and velvety addition to Leinenkugel’s seasonal selection. This porter-style beer is aged on real vanilla to reveal rich layers of caramel, coffee and chocolate that is ideal for the season.

12 oz. bottle served in shaker- poured a transparent darkened maroon when held to the outdoor light source. One finger head disappeared as I lit up to a thin ring round the glass. Aroma of bourbon (how the hell did that get in there?), vanilla, caramel, cinnamon, and a hint of maple wood waiting to be put in the fire. Hits the mouth with a medium body, very light considering the style, some vanilla from the start with coffee pairing it at the start, holds up well in the middle, finish does get a little watery. It’ll do for watching my Packers whoop some Cali ass- GO PACK GO!

Bottle @ home, picked up at RJs Fort Collins. Still deciding if I should "party" with Dunt. Pours a clear, deep reddish brown appearance with a light brown head. Spicy, sweet cereal, vanilla, chocolate aroma. Fairly sweet, Swiss Miss Hot Cocoa, vanilla, caramel candy, a bit woody/grainy flavor. Drinks pretty fucken good.

I expected a beer with much more flavor, especially the vanilla flavor, but this beer was very watery and bland. The color was attractive, but tasted very thin, with some malt flavor, but not much else. Would be fine for easy drinking over the holidays, but not a memorable flavor experience.

12 oz. bottle. You can’t get mad at your family when they try to please you for the holiday with beers. They don’t know. Pours a cola brown with a fizzy tan head. Aroma of mild coco puffs and vanilla candle. Flavor is quite sweet mostly focusing on oddly artificial tasting vanilla with hint of bitterness from the dark malt. Mouthfeel is quite watery, somewhat fizzy carbonation. How far we’ve come as beer consumers . . .

Bottle. Chocolate brown pour. Tainted virgin head pour, not quite white. Thinned quickly but large lacing. Aroma, all faint caramel vanilla chocolate but no coffee. Reminds me of a carbonated swiss miss. Light mouth feel. More malty than coffee, Chocolate, or vanilla.

Bottle pored, almost no head. Aroma of coffee and malt softened by vanilla. First impression of taste is very watery. Ok after taste. Like drinking a cola with a smooth vanilla coffee aftertaste.

Bottle. Deep red brown with almost no head. Vanilla, very malty, clay, light earthy hop and water. Taste is lightly sweet. Body is watery. Typical Leinies, drinkable but safe.
