3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Clear deep red with off white head. Aroma of vanilla, banana and a little chocolate. First taste gave me malt, vanilla. Then "rootbeer" came to mind. The finish had a very little chocolate bitter, but left me with a stale taste at the end.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours a mahogany color with a thin, short-lasting foam head. Aroma is subtle vanilla, caramel, chocolate, and some biscuit. Flavor is lightly sweet vanilla and caramel, with some chocolate. Has a medium, softly carbonated mouthfeel. This is okay, but not near as flavorful as other vanilla porters I’ve had.

3.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pour from a 12oz bottle. Dark amber brew, color of root beer. Clear. Off white head. Aroma of vanilla, ethanol, roasted malts. Taste is sweet malt, roaste dmalt, a little chocolate, some vanilla and maybe a little licorice. Nice profile of burnt and dark roasted malts, but a little too sweet. Vanilla is a little over done, IMO. But quafffable and fine on a cool December eve.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
12 oz. bottle served in shaker- poured a transparent darkened maroon when held to the outdoor light source. One finger head disappeared as I lit up to a thin ring round the glass. Aroma of bourbon (how the hell did that get in there?), vanilla, caramel, cinnamon, and a hint of maple wood waiting to be put in the fire. Hits the mouth with a medium body, very light considering the style, some vanilla from the start with coffee pairing it at the start, holds up well in the middle, finish does get a little watery. It’ll do for watching my Packers whoop some Cali ass- GO PACK GO!

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
The aroma of the beer is subtle, blending vanilla and roasted malts, and the appearance combines a reddish brown color with a medium light head that diminishes quickly. The taste is mildly sweet yet quite umami, which is a nice blend; furthermore, the palate’s fairly complementary due to the oily texture, medium body, soft carbonation, and a long yet muted extension of the flavor.
