COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Leinenkugel’s Snowdrift Vanilla Porter is a robust and velvety addition to Leinenkugel’s seasonal selection. This porter-style beer is aged on real vanilla to reveal rich layers of caramel, coffee and chocolate that is ideal for the season.

12oz bottle pours a clear dark brown with a fizzy tan head that faded and leaves decent lacing. Smell of roasted malt, dark fruit, caramel, chocolate and vanilla. Tastes of all the same things in the smell. Mouthfeel is medium and watery with light carbonation. This was pretty average for a porter. I like that they used vanilla. The appearance and mouthfeel hurt it. I’d still drink it again though.

smoky and malt nose. dark brown color with nice red highlights. taste is very smoky with malt and coffee notes. The aftertaste is a bit unpleasant. I think this is a one off.

Pours a dark black with light brown head. Has a faint roasted malt aroma, but not strong. A nice mixed taste of vanilla, roasted malt, coffee and chocolate. Aftertaste is similar to a vanilla latte.

Pours a black scarlet with a medium sized light brown head. Aroma is chocolate and malt. Very creamy on the palate, the taste is sweet and of vanilla, coffee, chocolate and malt. Very flavorful with a nice mild finish which is neither too bitter nor too sweet. A well done Porter that can be paired successfully with a variety of red meats or with nuts.

Bottle. Deep red brown with almost no head. Vanilla, very malty, clay, light earthy hop and water. Taste is lightly sweet. Body is watery. Typical Leinies, drinkable but safe.

Carol’s chili fest. Wasn’t expecting to like this, but actually had a lot of good flavor and could have had a few of these. I liked the sweetness in this, a good balance with the lightly roasted malt and the sweet vanilla flavor. Wasn’t too overbearing at all. Surprisingly good.

Aside from your typical chocolate, roasted malt and coffee flavors; There is a flavor of Vanilla on the back of the palate, which isn’t as strong as one would like. There’s nothing bad about this beer but if you’re looking for a really good vanilla porter, try out Breckenridge’s Vanilla Porter instead

Subtle vanilla aroma. Pours dark brown with a thin head. Dominant vanilla flavor to start and finish. Smooth finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

There was nothing special about this porter...and I think they forgot the vanilla in my 6 pack. While the beer wasn’t offensive tasting, it was bland, had little head, no lacing and nothing special going for it. I would only drink this again in a pinch.

Pours medium brown with almost nonexistent head. Aroma helps to make up for the appearance with aromatic hints of vanilla and roasted malt character. Hints of chocolate are also present accompanied by a bit of caramel or coffee. However, the taste doesn’t follow the aroma. Very thin sweet taste. Only a hint of bitter notes. The body is thin, carbonation is not lively and the finish doesn’t leave a stellar impression. I wouldn’t say no, but I wont be having a lot of it.
