COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Leinenkugelís Snowdrift Vanilla Porter is a robust and velvety addition to Leinenkugelís seasonal selection. This porter-style beer is aged on real vanilla to reveal rich layers of caramel, coffee and chocolate that is ideal for the season.

Vanilla aroma with some chocolate malt in the background. Taste follows suit, but mostly vanilla. Watery palate as usual with Leinenkugelís. Actually was a little better than I expected overall, though. Easy and pleasant enough to drink.

Smells a lot less of vanilla than I hoped. There is a heavier yeast aroma than anything else. Pours very dark with a minimal head. Not as heavy on the tongue as it appears it will be. The vanilla flavor is also a little more subdued than I hoped, but it balances the malts nicely. I prefer a drier porter, so take this review with a grain of salt. It's nice for what it is, but I've had better.

Dark brown pour, small tan topper. Blunted roast aroma. Vanilla with hints of burnt coffee. Taste comes through a bit crisper. Vanilla and chocolate on a soft roasted backbone. A bit thin for a porter but pleasant enough.

Tap. Pours dark brown with creamy beige head. Aroma is light vanilla, roasted malts, light earthy notes, and plums. Flavor is dry malts, some vanilla and dark fruit sweetness, and light ash; thin throughout with a dry finish. Medium body and carbonation.

Pours dark brown with thin beige head. Aromas of tobacco and toasty malt. Taste is thin but tolerable. Flavor is a little chocolate, a little tobacco. Slightly thin for the style but drinkable for the brewer.

Light caramel with a slight floral scent. Alcohol smell present. Dark reddish brown, but clear pour with minimal head that disappeared quickly. A medium body, lightly bitter. Soft carbonation. I canít taste the vanilla but overall a nice flavoured beer.

Slightly artificial vanilla in the nose and the taste. Dark brown pour. This is a porter best served cold. Itís not bad, but itís also not great. I prefer their creamy dark to this version.

Pours an amber brown with a tan head and aroma of chocolate, vanilla, and roasted malt. Taste is sweet, of roasted malt with light chocolate and vanilla notes with a sweet, malty finish.
