I had to spend $14 for a twelve pack just to try this so I hope itís worth it - pours like a coke - aroma of vanilla and yeast - high carbonation detracts from the light vanilla and the roasted malt is pretty far in the back but itís not terrible.. not great and with a little less carbonation it would be better

Bottle. Pours black with no head. Not overly vanilla, decent flavor of vanilla and toffee. Somehow, the beer seems thin to me.

Pleasantly subtle vanilla on the nose, flavor reads more bourbon/booze with just enough roasted malt.

Nice dark brown with a tan head. The aroma is oddly fruity. The flavor has a lot of vanilla with coffee and chocolate in the background. Nicely balanced with a long lasting finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours dark brown with a small tan head. Mild flavor, with mild vanilla after taste. As a porter I was expecting a stronger, bolder flavor. The beer was refreshing and pleasant. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

A faint malt aroma, pours a dark brown with a short lasting tan head. A watery feel with a slightly sweet vanilla malt taste. A sweet vanilla finish.

12 oz bottle to tulip. Pours black/ruby red, dissipating tan soda head. Aroma of caramel, cocoa, vanilla, nutty, brown sugar, raisin. Taste is good blend of above notes. Semi dry bitter finish. Heavy carb. Lots of vanilla bean in finish but overall complex. Wishing for a heavier mouthfeel and bigger head.

12 ounce bottle. Garnet color with a small creamy beige head. Malty nose has notes of vanilla, cocoa and molasses. Flavor has roasted malt and chocolate. Thin bodied, yet flavorful. Finish is a bit watery.
