The smell of lemon does not overwhelm the maltiness of the beer. It pours a bright sunshine yellow which foreshadows the presence of lemon. The tase is a pleasant balance of lemon and malt that surprised me. I was sure this would be some cheap "hard lemonade" concoction, but it wasn’t. It was balanced and fun to drink.

Bottle. Pours cloudy - and apple juice like colour. Strong lemonade flavour - the cheap lemonade you get at the grocery store. Easy to drink. Imagine it would a good summer this quencher.

I drank mine out of season (december). It definitely has a a strong lemon flavor. However unlike other fruity beers I actually didn’t find it incredibly sweet.

too sweet for me. I prefer a homemade shandy. I drank it on a hot day with high hopes, but did not live up to my expectations. Too much lemon, not enough beer.

Bottle. Pours gold with thin crisp head. Smells wheaty with lemony citrus hints. Tasted like lemonade as the bottle suggests, and there is some wheat to be detected, but faintly. It is a good beer on a hot day.

It’s a shame this gets pretty bad reviews. It’s a pretty good shandy. It pours a cloudy yellow with a white head and a good amount of carbonation. The smell is of lemonade, as it should be. Taste is lemony, similar to Orangina. This is fun to drink, low in alcohol and good for a hot summer’s day.

Since I did the Apple Spice, I am going to rate this too. I figure this deserves to be retired soon as well. Another Leinie’s beer I don’t see myself ever drinking again. Drank on a very enjoyable May night back in college while watching the Wonder Years. I’d have to say, this was a complete waste of a beer bottle. Pours a very pale, lemonade-ish hue with white head that dies completely. No lacing. Aromas are of mellow lemony artificial sweetness. Taste is bland, lighter lemony taste mixed with a touch of carbonation. Not as sweet as earlier anticipated. No cloying, just blank of any defining characteristics. Lighter alco-pop for those who can’t handle the cloying sweetness. Not fit to be called a beer, but palatable.
