Leinenkugels Summer Shandy

Bottle. Pours a cloudy yellow color with a small white head. The aroma is a strong lemon and light malt. Decent lacing on the glass. The taste is a very sweet overpowering lemon that is a bit too acidic. Overall not too much going on with this one.

Good beer. It had a good hint of lemonade flavoring. It has a good summertime taste.

Without glass so it was drank from 12oz bottle. Very citrus-y. The lemons are very strong leaving their bitter taste in your mouth after consumption. Tasted very similar to Lemonade, and on a hot summer day it goes down just as easily and quick.

pours a couldy yellow with a medium white head. Strong lemonade aroma, lively carbonation. light wheat and lemon flavour. Not too bad. I might feed this to my parents on the deck when they come a visiting.

Light golden color......extremely hazy......almost completely opaque. Thick, fluffy head. Strong aroma of lemon. Bold lemon flavor up front......pretty crisp mouthfeel, though not overpowering. Lemon flavor continues into the back, though a bit sweeter than the front......finishes a little tangy. Great beer for a hot day.

12 oz draft from Gilbert’s Lodge in SCS. Light head which went away fast. The "beer" was almost pastel yellow. I’m not going to go into much detail of taste, because it’s exactly as the description says: "Beer with natural lemonade flavor." I only wish I was warned before trying it. Who would want lemonade mixed with their beer?

I had this on tap last night, and I obviously was expecting a chick beer, which it is, but it wasn’t that bad. just tastes like lemons and beer, with emphasis on the lemons. It was actually quite refreshing.

Presentation: Poured from a 12oz brown bottle into a pint glass. It has a very cloudy pale lemonade color with a fluffy white head that quickly fades to a thin minimal covering. Lacing is minimal as well and slowly slides down the sides of the glass. The aroma has a heavy lemon concentrate scent with a hit of wheat malt. It has big lemonade flavor that’s not to sweet and not to tart with just a hint at wheat malt flavor. The body is light with a smooth slick mouth feel and lively carbonation. Overall it’s a refreshing summery beer that is very drinkable although it leans more towards a Mike’s Hard Lemonade malt beverage than beer.
