From a 12 fl oz / 355mL bottle into a tasting glass. Aroma: Sweet, lemon candy scent. Interesting. Not sure if want. Appearance: Hazy yellow, but the brightest, lightest, yellowest yellow you can imagine. Taste: Lemon candy. Lemon jolly ranchers. Sickly sweet. Palate: Thin and watery. Overall: Fruit beer? No sir, this is not a fruit beer. This is lemon candy in a bottle. There is no beer flavor at all. This borders on malternative.

From bottle. Hazy milky yellow fluffy white head. Aroma lemon candy and sprite hint of wheat. Juicy lemon with a light wheat taste. Tart refreshing. Falls a bit flat on the finish.

Draught. Light cloudy yellow minimal head. Lemony citrus aroma. Smooth sweet lemonade taste with light beer notes.

Pours an opaque melon amber color with an off-white head. The beer has a vibrant appearance, despite it’s opaqueness. It has constant effervescence at the top, which gives the beer life. Lemony gewürztraminer nose. The mouthfeel is nearly perfect for any ale, particularly this style. Very soft and wet, with just a hint of carbonation. The taste is light and is comprised of lemon, honey, and melon. Not overdone on the fruitiness like the vulgar Magic Hat #9. I’m enjoying this beer by the pool in Las Vegas, which is how it was meant. The low reviews this beer is getting, I regret, are from folks who are too serious and not regardig the context in which they make their reviews. Lighten up a little. Get it? Enjoy this delight in the 100 degree desert like me and you’ll see what I mean.

Bottled - pours an opaque yellow with a white head. Aroma is LOTSSSS of lemon and some mild grains. Palate is crisp and refreshing. Lots of lemon. Almost doesn't taste like beer. This is one of my go to summer brews. A lot of people will crap on this beer but I think it's perfect for what it is. A summer beer. After all, it's named summer shandy. -optemoz

Once again leinenkugel made a drink that tasted nothing like a beer this was more like lemonade

Dark yellow pour. Has a strong lemon aroma and flavor. An excellent beer to have in the summer.

A great sweet summer beer thst lacks that syrup after taste of so many fruit flavored beers. Perfect for drinking at a summer ball game.
