Aroma - strong lemon, fresh clean scent...tough to pick up on anything else, maybe a little grainy malt. Taste is kind of what you’d expect...lemonade flavored beer. The wheat gives it a dry, fresh flavor. Sweet, but not as sweet as I was expecting. Very lightly hopped...just enough to give it a gentle bitterness in the finish. It has a pleasant tartness. Hard to tell you are drinking a beer, but at the same time it’s way superior to hard lemonades. Not nearly as sugary. I hated this at first but it grew on me. A good summer quencher and a brew I will continue to have on hand during the few hot months in MN. kddewees (33), Muncie, Indiana, USA

| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Jun 23, 2009 Pours a pale cloudy yellow with a frothy white head leaves very nice lacing for a fruit beer, actually any beer. Aroma of summertime lemonade, sweet and tangy. Lemon flavor throughout, hint of wheat underneath, all slightly watered down. Missing the tangy sweet tartness of true lemonade and the aroma. Nice even carbonation. Quite refreshing, reminds a little of lemon sherbet. GJF (498), Cedar Rapids, Iowa, USA

Go ahead and just drink a good ginger ale or lemonade and you’ll do much better than this. ben4321 (993), Rockville, Maryland, USA

I was rating the Saranac version of the "beer style," and thought I should throw my review of this one up as well since it’s basically the same. If you’ve had one "Shandy" you’ve had them all, it tastes like a little beer and a little lemonade. These can be semi-refreshing, but it isn’t beer. JaBier (1200), Capital City, Ohio, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Jun 14, 2009 Sampled at the summer beer tasting at Blacklick Wine & Spirits on 5/29/09. Cloudy yellow pour with a big white head. Smells like lemonade; tastes like lemonade and lager yeast. Refreshing summer beverage, but not beer. Can we enter Twisted Tea ratings on RB now too? Once again, tasty and refreshing but not beer. stef92 (67), Williamstown, New Jersey, USA

Should I have a nice cold beer or a glass of iced tea or lemonade? This beer answers that question. Cloudy pour typical Weiss beer coloring. Aroma of lemonade. tastes more of lemonade than beer but it is very refreshing. Serve it ice cold! milljam (569), Norman, Oklahoma, USA
