2.1 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
I suspected that a major brewer was behind this one based on the packaging but I picked up a six-pack anyway. This one has a little too much lemon in it. I did enjoy it on a nice hot afternoon though. It is a good summer beer to break up the monotony.
From the start, the aroma is dominated by lemon. There is something else in there but I can’t put a finger on it.
Pale yellow and hazy. It looks like an unfiltered wheat, though I’m pretty sure that it is filtered. A small white head forms and disappears just as quickly. Nothing to be impressed by here, move along.
The taste is crisp and refreshing. Strong and slightly sour lemonade. Pretty much what you expect from a beer advertised as a "Weiss Beer with Lemonade". This is a pretty nice light taste for a hot afternoon.
The palate is very lively. A nice hit of carbonation on the tongue and lips through the whole beer. Despite the opacity, this is a very light thin beer. The finish is quick and a little tart.

2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
I had this years ago on tap and thought it was very sweet. This rating is from the canned version. It pours out a cloudy lemony color. Frothy offf white head. Flavor is of tart-sweet lemon. Sweet in the middle with a long bittersweet finish. Not all that refreshing. Not nearly as good as the grapefruit version.

I brew my own beer and come across many different types and tastes. I tried Summertime Shandy on tap and thought it was an excellent beer for the Summer. Great job!

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Light gold and lemon-colored with a meringue head and some lacing. Lemonade and lemonhead nose. Smooth and light mouthfeel with a soft, lemonade finish.

2.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Pours straw yellow with minimal white head. Smells of lemonade. Taste is sweet, mildly bitter - lemon followed by a bit of wheat. Smooth but underwhelming.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
355ml bottle. Pours a cloudy pale yellow with a thin, white head that fully dissipates. Sweet aroma of lemon. Sweet flavour of lemon and wheat. Light body with a watery texture and soft carbonation. Disappointing.

1.8 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 6/20
Bought this beer to try something new, I made this decition becouse of the appearance, when I tasted it I thought I was drinking from the worng bottle, it tastes like lemon soda, nothing to do with beer, I could’ve bought a lemonade for a fraction of the price, very disapoonted.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bought as part of a mixed 12er for $6. Hard to beat that price. Super sweet lemonade. Not disgusting or anything, just exactly what it claims to be. Never have any idea what to rate this stuff. I mean, it sucks, but I’ll definitely drink the other two bottles of this, probably while grilling, and I’ll enjoy them, too.

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draft at Over the Bars bar in North Park, Pittsburgh. More like a lemonade than a beer. A real stinko of a beer.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Draft at the hotel bar in Bethlehem PA during Guardian Life opening. It’s a crisp, grainy, decent wheat ale with lemon ade. Can’t really knock this as much as I wanted to. On a hot day I could pound them.

Calm down beer snobs. Take the name off and make it a treasure hunt and you would be singing a different tune. Perfect for the guy who has busts his ass everday in a heatwave and needs something light and refreshing. Like the postman summer shandy always delivers.
