Pours a somewhat cloudy pale yellow with a white head. Aromas of lemons and lemonade dominate, with no notes of either malt or hops, something of a disappointment, but given the likely base beer of American Blonde all or light lager.
On the palate, this was quite refreshing on a warm early summer day. Sweetened lemonade flavors greet the palate up front, and really don’t dissapate until the very end. The big dig on this beer is that there is little else. There isn’t really any sort of complexity, leading to a very drinkable, somewhat refreshing, and ultimately one-dimentional beer. Not terrible; but below average for a "craft brewer," of which Leinenkugel is a debatable member. legion242 (1588), Richardson, Texas, USA

I think this would be great lawnmower beer- refreshing and low in alcohol makes for the perfect beer for sitting on the porch and drinking all night. Suttree (2754), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA

I does smell lemony, as you would expect, but not fresh lemons. not artificial lemon either. It smells more like that lemon juice that comes in a little plastic lemon shaped dispenser. Anyway, the flavor is similiar - and surprisingly subtle. In fact, if anything, this ber wasn’t lemony enough. But it was refreshing and not cloying, and enjoyable enough to consider buying again. Light yellow color, light head. Light up front, spritzy, with notable lemon. Not deep in flavor/complexity but there are some nice notes there. Not overtly sweet to my palate. Still, this wasn’t one that I wanted to finish all the way to the bottom of the glass. Not bad, though. Light but Coating Mouthfeel. Initially Very Much Like Drinking Lemonade with Light Carbonation. A Bit Grassy/Herbal, and a Dry Wheat Aftertaste that Reminds You That You ARE in Fact, Drinking a Beer. They Nailed the Lemon Flavor Down Well Most Certainly a Session Lawnmower Brew. DragonStout (1386), Pataskala, Ohio, USA

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jul 4, 2007 Pours a cloudy light gold body, creamy macro-like white head. Aroma is a bit like lemon juice, reminiscent of those green bottles of lemon juice you buy at the store. Taste is the same, but with some cheap grainy malt in there. In fact, I’ll almost guarantee they use that concentrated lemon juice crap in this. But with as the beer warms a bit, the grainyness disappears and gives way to some sweetness. It isn’t too bad, is pretty smooth and has a nice balance. Heh, better than Sprecher’s latest piece of crap fruit beer.
