Light citrus aroma and a complex citrus and fruit flavor. Golden straw color and fairly cloudy. High carbonation makes a slight bitter bite at the finish.

Bottle. Hazy lemon hue, capped with a fizzy layer of cloud-white. The aroma has less lemon peel character and more lemon juice -- a pungent, tart kind of fragrance. The background is sweet, almost soda-like. The flavor is far less citrus-forward, though there is a mild lemon pith chord running throughout. In the middle, wheat; in the finish, something grainier, huskier. It certainly has more lager character than it does lemonade; it’s beer with a splash, a squeeze of lemon, rather than a 1-1 blend.

Old rating. Bottle from Old Town. Lemon aroma with hints of citrus. Mouthfeel is like carbonated lemonade. Fairly sweet but refreshing. Not bad on a hot day.

12 oz. can poured to a goblet, displaying a cloudy, straw color with an initially presentable layer of white head foam that reduced quickly to a light film & thin ring, with lacing that raised up from the ring in a wavy fashion. Strong, reconstituted lemon juice scent dominated the nose, with maybe just a touch of wheat. Light bodied, with not much honey sweetness, a combo of modest bitterness & dryness, conveyed by lively, seltzery carbonation, made this a little less refreshing than I would have expected. Not summer,(although I wish) but often add lemonade to my iced tea, so this became an okay hydrator & snack rinse while watching the NFL playoffs.

Bottle sample at Beer Market Jaffa. Thanks Ariel. Cloudy yellow. Aroma of sparkling lemon-lime drink and a bit of wheat. Sourish-sweetish flavor, spicy, with lemonade and a bit of bitterish lemon peels. Quite light-bodied. Not very good, but quite easy-drinking.

(Rating #5866)

"I appreciate what they’re going for here, but this is a slight miss. While still refreshing, it has a certain artificial quality to the lemon in the aroma and flavor. I’d prefer Sam Adams to this..."

Poured from a 12 OZ bottle into a pint glass. Aroma- a great lemony aroma, I rated this high because this is a shandy and it smells like one! Appearance- a healthy yellow color that belies the lemon. It looks like summer. Taste- if you are a shandy admirer then this won’t disappoint. excellent lemon flavor, with a hint of wheat and beer accents. Palate- just the right amount of carbonation, a light bodied beer. Overall- this is an excellent summer brew for those who enjoy shandy. If you are not into a crisp lemonade tinged beers then avoid this beer. If not enjoy this while it is in stock.
