This looks good enough and could pass for a good wheat beer. It has substantially more wheat than the honey weiss; but is a little thinner. The aroma has a lot of citrus and so does the flavor. But there is also a strange sweet flavor and just makes this beer not work. It is sour, and even more so with the citrus, but it is trying to run the middle ground between hefeweizen, wit, and crappy American wheat and the result is a beer that nearly works, but not quite.

Bottle. Pours a cloudy yellow with a normal sized head. Nose is licorice and citrus. Flavors continue with spice and anise flavors with citrus/lemon and a dash of banana. I was completely very pleasently suprised by this one and was sorry to see the pint end. Very interesting merger of flavors. Creamy, refreshing, delicious; I’d definately have this one again. Thanks to jhammerly for the bottle.

Leinenkugels attempt at a belgian style wheat beer. Flavor is a little to fruity for my tastes, I much prefer a blue moon or a Point wit bier. Carbonation and appearance are good and the aroma smells slightly of oranges. People who dont usually drink beer would probably like this one.

Pours a hazy straw, like pineapple juice. Aroma is like orange Hi-C. Flavor is mostly orange, some wheat, some coriander. It’s not bad, a good summer beer. Good beer for those that don’t like beer.

UPDATED: JUN 11, 2009 Addendum--on tap @ the Miller Brewery in Milwaukee. It smells and tastes exactly like Fruity Pebbles. I would like Fruity Pebbles for my breakfast tomorrow now. 12oz bottle, no date. Pours a cloudy dark straw with a moderate white head. Aroma of ripe oranges--almost too sweet. Tastes of ripe oranges and artificial orange flavor and then fades into a wheaty finish. Thin body, moderate carbonation. I find this beer to be in between a Blue Moon (which everyone hates) and an American Wheat (which is usually a nondescript "mah" beer). Most people I?ve talked to think this is great. Also, most people I talk to aren?t like most ratebeerians. Not too badat all.

Bottle. Hazy pale yellow body. Orange hand cleaner aroma. American wheat with built-in orange peel flavor.

Cloudy yellow with a creamy, small white head. The citrus nose was more like a citrus scented dish detergent. Lively carbonation but lacking in any appeciable flavor. Like drinking lemonade from a soapy glass that wasn’t rinsed well.

Hazy, golden yellow color. Looks and smells like pineapple juice. Also smell of flowers and kool-aid. Tastes sweet and some grain. Little bitter at the end. Its actually really good. It tastes like blue moon ice cream. Good beer for the lady in your life.

Hazy golden orange color with a nice white head. Aroma is earthy malt and citrus. Flavor is wheat and lots of citrus. Sweet orange zest, grapefruit and the coriander comes through. Surprisingly good and definitely a good cold summer brew.

Bottle. Interesting enough hazy light orange color with an initially large topping. Thought the flavor was primarily orangey ... think folks who like a slice of fruit with their beer would enjoy this very much ... and even I, who usually doesn’t, found this to be a nice light drinker with a fruity twist. One of the better Leinie offerings, actually.
