Hazy, golden yellow color. Looks and smells like pineapple juice. Also smell of flowers and kool-aid. Tastes sweet and some grain. Little bitter at the end. Its actually really good. It tastes like blue moon ice cream. Good beer for the lady in your life.

Hazy golden orange color with a nice white head. Aroma is earthy malt and citrus. Flavor is wheat and lots of citrus. Sweet orange zest, grapefruit and the coriander comes through. Surprisingly good and definitely a good cold summer brew.

Bottle. Interesting enough hazy light orange color with an initially large topping. Thought the flavor was primarily orangey ... think folks who like a slice of fruit with their beer would enjoy this very much ... and even I, who usually doesn’t, found this to be a nice light drinker with a fruity twist. One of the better Leinie offerings, actually.

UPDATED: JUL 9, 2006 Had this one bottled. Not bad. A nice golden orange pour with a very thick, white head, nose of lemons and bread, a pronounced barley taste that was unusual but very welcome. Fruit Loops in the nose and taste. Yep, Kellogs Fruit Loops. Weird, but delicious.

A nice summer beer. pours a cloudy golden color with a thick white head. The aroma is nice, but the flavor is a little too citrusy. I had this beer warm and cold. You have to have it cold because if you have it warm it tastse like a spoiled orange juice. Overall this beer is good, cold, and especially in the hot summer.

From a bottle, pours a cloudy straw-golden with sizable white head. Citrusy aroma with hints of coriander. Mild iniital wheat taste followed by surprising depth of tastes, including grapefruit and yes, coriander. Some hops show up in the background as well. I didn’t have high expectations for this beer but was pleasantly surprised by how good it is. I’d definitely buy it again.

Poured a very cloudy medium gold with a quickly dissapating white head. The aroma is fresh cut oranges and some hints of soap. There is also some corriander. The taste is definitely strong citrus with some hints of grapefruit rind and corriander in the finish. This is actually fairly refreshing and sweet. Like a hard orange candy. Not bad. It’s like a cross between a wit and an American wheat.

Pale beer smells like grapefruit. Even has a very significant grapefruit flavor, almost sickly in the mouth. Had this one at work, free sample. We arent going to carry it.

12oz bottle-hazy orange with a fairly significant soapy white head. big tangerine/orange peal aroma-overbearing if you ask me. Smells like floor cleaner-very artificial. tastes like the sunkist orange jelly candy i used to get when i was a kid. body is light and somewhat watery. ok, but not really a respectible wheat beer. makes a good chic beer i would guess.

I was a little leary when my buddy brought this over. I always thought leinie’s was okay back in the day, but that was before discovering the complexity of better craft brews. Plus, it’s never a good thing when a macro company (Miller) buys your out. Well, I was still interested in this as the wheat/hefe style has really grown on me. Pours a cloudy yellowish orange. Looks the part. Smell is some banana, orange, clove. I taste the orange, more than the banana, and a peppery finish. Interesting, and because of that I will give this beer its props. I would say it has some witbier qualities. Not bad, better than average, which is a good thing for Leinenkugels.
