Draught @ Brewpub

Pours dark amber orange with a smooth head. Aroma of berries, exotic fruity hops and grass. Taste is quite untypical with loads of berries, sweetness, notes of grassy hops, exotic fruits, sweet caramel and toffee notes. Finish is sweet, hoppy and bitter with loads of sweet caramely notes and berries. A bit unbalanced, too much berries.

Draught @ the brewpub, Berlin. 8.7% ABV. Pours a cloudy copper amber colour with a white thick head. Aroma of strong juicy berries, mellow honey and some complex grape notes. Flavour is full-on juicy with tart-ish berries, alcohol, strong floral hops, caramel malts, grass and tangy grapefruit. Full bodied, thick mouthfeel and a lingering bitter, tangy, juicy finish. Did they use NZ hops here? Sort of an amber ale / IPA hybrid, and a strong one it is.

Draught. Hazy orange with a thick head. Aroma is citrus hop. Flavour is full fruity hop, citrus, that leads into a fruity slightly bitter finish.

Tap am Hackeschen Markt. Coppery-orange, clear with a lacing, rocky white head. Beautifully balanced malty-hoppy nose. Coppery caramel and light biscuit in the mouth, hops are super juicy and non-PNW. Light bitterness with a splash of citrus and a really nice bready quality. Medium body, super refreshing.

Draught at the brewpub. Hazy orange coloured with an off white head. Hoppy aroma with notes of hops and pine needles. Hoppy flavour with malty and fruity notes. I haven’t heard of other german IPA’s, but it’s a good IPA.
