Very strong aroma, fruity, with aroma hop notes, light sweet. Copper color, cloudy, creamy head. Flavor is malty, only light sweet, light peppery, velvety and fruity. Light astringent bitterness and long finish. Maybe a hint to bitter.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 EithCubes (3340) - GERMANY - MAY 22, 2012
Tap zur Tiergartenquelle. Cloudy orange-golden with a rocky beige head. Sweet with a fantastic malt-hops balance, plays really well with texture in the mouth. Wild clover honey-dripping, faintly floral. Medium body, süffig!

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 DSG (3017) - Tel Aviv, ISRAEL - AUG 8, 2008

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 ekstedt (3793) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - JUN 8, 2008
A 10 cl draught sample at the brewpub. Said "Sommerbock" (with ABV 6.2 %) on the blackboard but I assume that it is the same beer. Shady amber, medium off-white head. Malty, fruity, and caramelly, with some notes of alcohol. Medium bodied and smooth. Good balance.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 wayfarer (2) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - MAY 10, 2008 does not count
A somewhat hazy beer that has a malty with some hint of the alcohol in the aroma. The taste is much more alcohol dominated where it is almost outright blinding and then a advanced palate of esters and other tastes. Not a beer I could drink a lot of but the sampler glass I had was around the right amount, maybe a small (0,3l) would have been okay. More and the dominating alcohol would be problematic.

Comments: One of my favourite beers during my Berlin stay. Very accomplished, smooth, honeyed and highly toasty, balanced example.
