06/03 Draught at the brewpub. It had slightly hazy orange to red body with smaller to medium sized head. Fruity aroma, mostly apricots or something similar, some herbal hops. Very nice sweetish flavor, caramelly, bready and fruity malt spiced up with just a little bit of some fine lemony hops. Medium or even full body with long, sweetish caramel finish. Very nice beer indeed. We completely understood the German marzen style here, this one was quite better than one we had the day before in Potsdam.

Vom Faß im Brauhaus Lemke, Mitte. Shining blond head, dense almost creamy. Body is deep copper colored, with a slight haze. Clean, toasted malt aroma, grainy and light biscuity. Also a berry-ish fruitiness and scent of grassy hops. Slightly sweet, toasted, caramelly malt flavor. A nice acidic fruitiness and a gentle hop bitterness is lurking under. Very slick in the mouth. Medium body strenght. Crisp, malty and fruity finish. Nice all over.

Marko (3614) - Split, CROATIA - MAR 8, 2010
Draught at the H.Markt Lemke. Poured a lovely hazy copper-bronze colour with a small slightly off white head. Light lemony aroma, slightly acidic. Superb... SUPERB taste. A light bready malty backbone upon which a distinctly lemony and pleasant lemony hopiness was built. Lightly sweet and woody. Superb drinkability. Almost no aftertaste but who cares. I cant remember the last time a lager of this type has excited me so. This year, apparently a winner.

On draught at Lemke am Schloss, Berlin, March 2009. Murky orange/tan colour with moderate off-white head. Modest aroma with some toffee notes. Toffee carries through to the palate. Not too sweet with a slightly spicy bitter/sour edge like the pilsner. Some chocolate touches on the palate too. Pleasant enough.
