The nose will enjoy pepper and gentle roasting aromas such as cocoa and bitter chocolate. After a crisp initial taste, the malt releases more gentle avours. The texture is dry. A subtle acid kick from the roasting aromas leads to the nale: toffee, toast and cocoa notes gently linger. Dominantly malty, slim, dry.

Flasche - braune Farbe, weißer Schaum. Leichte Aromen von dunklem Malz und Toffee. Relativ unspektakulär, aber frisch und süffig.

(Lemke Original) Bottle 355 ml from Beerhunter111, thanks! Served into a glass tankard, ABV 5.4% Deep amber to light brown colour on the body, mostly clear, with a tall and thick off-white head on top. Very good retention. Aroma has light caramel, plenty of toffee, toasted malts. Taste has light caramel, chestnuts, toffee, toasted malts, light butter. Medium body, carbonation on good levels. Not bad, pleasant enough.

Pours dark auburn, good frothy head. Lots of roasted malt and caramel on the nose and this continues into the taste. Exceptionally drinkable. Nice bitter finish, balanced well by the sweetness and hint of cinder toffee. Liked it a lot.

Dunkelmalzig und vollends gelungen. Tolle Kaffe-und Röstaromen. Das gute daran ist, dass es dabei doch recht vollmundig und nicht zu trocken ist... Für mich ein sehr gutes dunkles

(bottle, 33cl, 5.4% abv, 13.2 Plato, subtitle: Wiener Lagerbier) Clear, dark amber colour with a mid-sized and tanned foamy head. Mildly bready and toasted malty aroma with notes of caramel, nuts and hints of vanilla, backed by a tinge of spicy hops. Bitter-sweet flavour, light to medium bodied with a modest carbonation. Slightly bready malt character with caramel, nutty notes, herbal and earthy hops in the background, which are getting slightly stronger towards the dry bitter-sweet finish. Nice one. 29.I.16

355ml bottle. Clear, copperish, faint chestnut colour with average to huge, homogeneous, foamy, fairly lasting, minimally lacing, off-white to beige head. Grainy, grassy, typical Hausbrauerei dark malty aroma with silage touch. Taste is surprisingly different, slightly sweet dark malty, hints of malt lozenge and liquorice. Nothing spectacular anyway.
