3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Berlin Trip beer No.3. On draft at the brewpub. Lovely nut brown, dark translucent body with a small creamy white head. Very light bodied. Citrus and malt gives way to tar and slightly bitter finish. No middle to speak of, has a slightly cola-ish quality, hints of caramel.

Januart 2013: Tap at the brewhouse. Cloudy and dark dunkel. Nice white head. Taste of wheat, caramel, nuts and toast. One of the best dunkels brewed in Berlin, and the best beer Lemke offers.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
UPDATED: JUL 7, 2007 One of the beers that I tried while at Brauhaus Lemke in Berlin. This is the one I enjoyed most. One of the best beers I’ve ever had. I wish I could find it in America because I would load up on it!

Try the beer sampler at this brewpub, interesting contrasts. The original was by far my favourite of the four that were available. I wish they had a Steinkrug for this, it would have made for an even more pleasureable experience.
