On tap. At "Lemke am Schloss", Berlin-Charlottenburg. Slightly hazy golden with a small white head. Aroma of malt and a little yeast. Medium body, some malts yes but primarily dominated by a distinct hoppiness also leaving a solid dose of bitterness. 080109

On tap at the brauhaus. Pours hazy weak golden with a big creamy white head. Aroma of spicy hops, Well balanced taste, good spicy hops towards the end, interesting pilsener. Oily and soapy mouthfeel, allthough pretty dry at the end. Mellow and velvety as well.

Leighton (4100) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - JAN 1, 2012
Tap at the brewpub. Pours a light, hazy yellow with a big, white foam head. Some doughy cracker malts in the aroma, with light straw hops. Sweet, biscuity flavor, some dry and earthy hay, light bread. Light to medium bodied with average carbonation. Sweet, lightly crisp finish, more crackers, light grass and straw. A touch sweet, but still a very good beer overall.

On tap at Brauhaus Mitte in October. Clear golden with a big white head. Aroma of grainy malt, with herbal hops and DMS. Sweetish malty flavour with a caramel note. A bit lacking in hops

Martinus (873) - Nijmegen, NETHERLANDS - NOV 30, 2011
Hazy dark pale golden beer, white head. Malty aroma, caramel, bread, hops, straw and some eggs in the nose. Flavour quite sweet, malty, light hops touch. Short finish. OK but nothing really special.
(Draught @ the Brauhaus - Hackesher Markt location)

Draught at the Mitte location. Clear yellow-golden with a lacy white head. Sweet citric malty nose, taste soft mildly sweet and powdery malt. Light body with very light hops. I like it, but my tongue says it has very little to do with a pils.

UPDATED: OCT 26, 2011 Part of the tasting tray at the Brauhaus, east Berlin, Mitte location. Unfiltered hazy lemon yellow. Grassy grainy aroma. Crisp grainy palate, bitter grassy hops, light floral perfume. Quite nice.

Brauhaus Lemke, Berlin.

Beer No. 37 on my tour through Austria, Germany and Denmark.
Draught at the brewpub. Light hazy yellow coloured, soapy yeasty nose. Malty, weak yeasty and citrusy hoppy with slight acidic bittery finish. Refreshing but thin.

MartinT (6350) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - JUL 31, 2011
My Bottom Line :
Herbal hops and their delicate bitterness surround this quiet Pilsener’s straw-like subtleties for a forgettable but satisfying quencher.

Further Personal Perceptions :
-A slice of foam tops the cloudy pale yellow.
-The nose is rather dull for the style.
-A sulphury accent is felt here and there.
-Carbonation is prickly and drinkability pretty high.
-Pils malts could be better polished in the flavor profile.

On tap at the Hackescher Markt location.

Draught. Pale straw colour with a thin film of head. Aroma of hay and grass. Flavour is sweet malt with a bitterness in the finish, texture is oily.
