Chronologically, RB says this was my 777th German rating. Tap at Lemke’s, known as ’Winterbock’. Deep, dark chestnut with a rocky, lacing beige head. Nose is sweet toffee, caramel, fruit, very inviting. Taste is sweet, lightly fruity and yeasty brewpub generalities. Low sour note plus subtle earthy bitterness. Medium-full body, creamy with little carb and little stickiness, but rounded and repeatable.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 Beershine (5173) - The Sunshine State, Florida, USA - FEB 11, 2011
Draft @ brewpub. Nice red color with lasting cap. Smells sweet and spicy. The mouthfeel has nice heat in the background. The spicy overtones are nice, I think this one the best of the ones sampled. At the other outlet of Lemke, however, the beer had a diacetyl problem and slight tang...and the atmosphere was even worse than in the main one.
