COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Lemp St. Louis Lager is a true German style lager, and conforms to Rheinheitsgebot. Brewed in an organic brewery with a smooth, lightly hopped taste that will please the most discriminating palate. Lemp was the first lager style beer in America. Come taste why first is always best.

It doesn’t look bad in the glass being amber and slightly hazy. Very little cling, weak aroma of bread, and the taste really isn’t there except for some mild caramel-like sweetness. Fizzy and watery going down.

A dark golden yellow pour that is slightly clouded. Citrus, wheat and a hint of malt gives it a pleasant aroma. The Head quickly disappears. The taste of this beer is unbalanced. The first sip give way to a malt but the finish has a hint of citrus. There is no body to the beer but it is similar to this style of beer.

This is a typical lager. Smells mailny of corn and pours a burnt orange color. Taste is of corn, some malts, and a sweet taste at the end. I got this case for $11 in Wilkes-Barre, but heard that it cost a lot more then that where it was distributed.

not as bad as the $9 for a case would suggest. dark with an almost sweet, honey-like finish. recommended for drinkers on a budget.

Added Beer from Lukas Liquor in Ellisville, MO to a Mix-A-Six Pack. (1st Beer of Night). Thought beer was a St. Louis one? Funny at the time, definitely one from Pennsylvania. Poured into a 16oz Pint Glass. Appearance:Has an orange body Smell: smells like a familiar Belgian I’ve had lately Taste: Has a Metallic and dry taste. Mouthfeel: Almost no carbonation Drinkability: Has Metallic taste but goes down smooth and a beer I can go back to. Would only be a beer I would enjoy as a first of the night.

I am in the minority here, but I liked it. A nice amber lager, with good taste and very smooth, no bad side backbite. Great looking bottle as well.
