Of the Thai Lager’s (Chang, Phuket, Singha) this is probably my least favorite.

GIJOE (688) - North Berwick, Maine, USA - NOV 7, 2013
Bottle at an airport cafe in Nakhon Si Thammarat, Thailand. Poured into the glass pale yellow and fizzy as hell. Two fingers of bubbly white head that stays a while. Nose is typical lager, somewhat skunky. Taste is slightly sweet and not unlike a damp broom. Thin and fizzy. Nothing special.

Horrible beer. Worse than Corona or Coors. I would put this on the level of Natty Light. This weak malty beer is good only for cheap sessioning.

Thin malt aroma. Thin flavor of hops too. But no aftertaste. Follow me @ Kung av öl @ Facebook for more pictures and ratings.

Weak but pleasant malt aroma. Unbalanced bitterness combined with a rather bland taste.

@ Havregatan. Flaska från Systembolaget (10:-). En ljus lager med ganska mycket smak. Söt malt och något som påminner om parfym i doften. Lite söt smak av malt, smör o honung. Hyfsad beska. Långt ifrån bra, men bättre än jag trodde.

630ml Bottle in Koh Phangnan, Thailand (48 Baht):
Faint adjuncts start things off, followed by some lager malts and a corn with a hint of skunk. The aroma is incredibly faint and hard to detect.
Clear straw coloured with a thin, foamy white head that disappeared rather quickly. There is some minimal lacing left on the glass too but not a lot.
Light malts and some faint, grassy hops along with a watery taste and touches of bitterness. There isn’t much going on with this one really and it’s your typical, mass-produced Asian lager.
Light & thin bodied with a sort of watery feel and minimal bitterness. Smooth and quite wet at the end but also very bland.

Not a great beer at all and sadly a lot worse than I remember it being from the last time I was in Thailand although that may just be down to my tastes changing a lot since then. The beer was too thin and watery with both the aroma and taste coming across as too faint.

SamTheBarrel (497) - Vallentuna, SWEDEN - SEP 4, 2013
UPDATED: APR 30, 2014 330ml brown bottle bought from Systembolaget in Sweden, labelled 5.0% ABV. Appearance is light golden with a small white head that quickly dissipates. Aroma is faint of wheat bread with metallic iron notes. Flavours of wheat bread and sweet corn. Taste is light sweet and medium bitter. Palate is light bodied, thin watery texture and lively carbonation. Overall Leo Beer is refreshing but plain and rather tasteless. Comparatively good value however, many beers in this price range are far worse.
