Can on train in Thailand. Watery taste. Thin palate. Not a good beer. Not much selection though, so we figured why not try this.

1.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
330ml bottle, 5%. Poured an effervescent clear orange with a small & quickly disappearing fizzy white head. Aromas of corn, hay, grain, sweet malts, a drop of herbal hop and a light toastiness. Similarly sweet again on the tongue with touches of grain, finishing with a short, delicate bitterness. A sweet, lightly grainy, lightly tangy mid fruit aftertaste lingers. Light body, medium to full carbonation. No frills & inoffensive but refreshing straight out of the fridge.

La cerveza barata de Tailandia, suave y sin sabor, para chupar denoche con amigos en la calle y mamarse con litros. Antes de acostarse es necesaria una pastillita para el dolor de cabeza.

1.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
Very tipical low quality lager. Watery, bitter and very borring. Honey-corny-malty flavor with mild acidity and low bitterness.

How is this stuff so cheap in Thailand? It is easily the best beer available at the price point and it is available everywhere. Many a night were spent at Home Bar, drinking as many as eight 22oz bottles of this stuff-- hangovers werenít pleasant, but probably not as bad as drinking one or two Changs. Mostly corn, less chemical than its competitors.

1.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Bottle in Thailand. Yellow gold with a white head. On the nose is alcohol and Iím wondering how strong this is (5.5% I later learn), corn and a whiff of hop. Taste is alcoholic harshness and some light bitterness. Bitter finish.

1.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20
Probably the best beer to drink in Thailand. It is about as tasteless as Tiger, which is a good thing considering the foul options, but it costs less. In the kingdom of the blind, the one-eyed man is king.

2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
A pale blonde lager with a thin white head. In aroma, a light sulfury malt with light sweet notes. In mouth, light chalky malt with light sweet fruityness, not offensive, but not really good either. Perfect for 27C humid weather. Bought for 30 B at a 7-11 close to my hotel, BKK.
