1.5 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20 OleR (3680) - Oslo, NORWAY - DEC 7, 2009
Sampled from can@RBNAG 2009, Vatlandsvåg. A dense blond head upon a bright, yellow colored body. Weak, sweetish grain aroma. A whiff of lemonade. Taste is light sugary and grainy, with faint fruit and metal. Light-bodied. Bland and boring.

Can from a friend’s holiday in Thailand. Pours a light pale lager body with a diminishing white head. Aroma is sweet maize, grains and rice with some sour-ish hints, along with faint notes of hops. Taste is sweet, with lots of grainy, relatively flat flavors and a dusty hop finish. Not exactly good, but not the worst of lagers either. Slightly underrated in my opinion.

Can on train in Thailand. Watery taste. Thin palate. Not a good beer. Not much selection though, so we figured why not try this.

Stale wheat and faint citrus camouflage the urine...That is, until the beer gets warmed by the prevalent extreme heat...The wheat blades linger and freshly cut hay emerges, but that sweet urine is still in the back...

Sweet malts with the faintest of bitterness. Crisp enough to fight spicy Thai food though, so I guess it served its purpose well.

How is this stuff so cheap in Thailand? It is easily the best beer available at the price point and it is available everywhere. Many a night were spent at Home Bar, drinking as many as eight 22oz bottles of this stuff-- hangovers weren’t pleasant, but probably not as bad as drinking one or two Changs. Mostly corn, less chemical than its competitors.

A thin beer. Light malt and hops aromas and flavours. Hint of fruits - you must be really on the alert to detect it. Overall, it’s thin and crisp. Nothing to shout about. Just an average Thai Beer. Saving grace is its nice sweetness. Scratches the palate for some strange reason.
