1.2 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 4/20
Bottle. Head is initially small, fully diminishing. Body is light to medium brown. Aroma is moderately malty (grain, husks, caramel), with notes of dirt and metal. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly to moderately bitter, unclean, husky. Light to medium body, watery texture, fizzy carbonation.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Poured from a 1.2 l glass container. Deep amber with no head. Fruity aroma from the Modelo yeast and faint maltiness. Becomes grainy as it warms up. Sweet front and dry finish that becomes slightly bitter, but as if from the dark malts, not from hops. Light body, quite refreshing with some dark character. It does what it should.

2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 6/20
Amber color. Not to much head. Aroma is malty/caramel. Taste is sweet just like most Mexican beers.

Bottle shared by Skyview. Mineral, metallic character. Nothing like a Vienna, aside from the color. Bad.

2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Brown bodied, small grey head. Chestnut, metallic, light roasted but very simple and clean. Bubbly active carbonation, simplistic malt taste, very light and without any character. Only marginally better than a standard mass produced lager. (Can from Walmart Cancun)

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
12 oz can in Mexico. Pretty typical of the Mexican beers being light and lacking the body one would expect in a negra. Still, not too bad for a hot afternoon on the beach.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
355 mL can from Mexico. Lovely amber, but there is almost no head. Nor aroma. Nor flavour, for that matter, although there is more than in the Mexican pale lagers. Drier than some.
