Bottle. Quite grainy but with a little bit of biscuity character. An inferior Negra Modulo.

Had in Cancun with Pam and Mario. Just what they had. Rather have Negra Modelo or Dos Equis. 4.5% ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

(Bottle) Pours clear mid brown with red hints and no head. Little aroma, slightly bread and candy. Light body with good carbonation. Rather thin taste but nice dark toffee notes and a hint of bitterness in finish. Entirely drinkable. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle on the beach in Playa del Carmen. Never a good sign when your ’Munich-style’ beer comes with a lime. Drunk from the bottle, I couldn’t have said this was any different from any other grim Mexican corn juice. Another reviewer said Corona with food colouring; probably about right.

Bottled from a Cafeteria in Chichen Itza. Labelld ABV 4.5% Amber with a small head. Sweet aroma with some toffee and marzipan. Sweet, sugary, flavour with no more flavours and practically no bitterness.

Spicy aroma. Very dark with a huge lasting head. Very foamy mouthfeel. Dry finish.

November 1st, 2013 - The international tour continues, and all beers, regardless of origin or merit will receive a at least a token sip. This time it’s the Leon Negra, an odorless and almost flavorless carbonated malt liquor. There’s a slight touch of raucchbier smokiness, but very little, and nothing else there to bolster it. It is a palate cleaner, maybe, closer to mineral water than beer. And even given the weather, it’s not enough to feel quenched or refreshed. It just is - existing, absent of feeling or character.
