Big rocky head and lively carbonation. Major yeast action in aroma and flavor. Almost tends toward Bavarian Hefe Weizen, then ending crisp and sharp. I need more malt and less yeast. Thanks Psych Prof.

Perfectly balanced malt and hops, paired in ethereal harmony, elusive brewery snipes. The yeast is here, though, and kicks it up a notch with its particular rhyming brand of bitter, sour funk, scratching that turntable like it ain’t no thang. When diacetyl joins the chorus, all hell breaks loose, much to the dismay of cousin helles.

see rating for Leopold Bros. Pale Ale....then add about .1 or .2 to it....then pour this vomit down the sink to kill all sink and drain-dwelling microbes; now say this childesh poem....."once upon a time, the leopold’s created a beer...a beer than no one should near...a beer you should fear, a beer that brings tears...steer clear from this beer, unless you’re a queer"--- i do not say this out of hatred; but i conclude that this beer probably tastes like some guy’s ass

Lightstruck nose, rubbery throughout. Some gritty and harsh malts are detected from the medium body, but it is just a harsh rubbery mess. 'Worst of the week' honors.

Solid head, but a flavor to make the toes curl up. Rubber tires and inner-tubes. Couldn't even finish it.

UPDATED: DEC 28, 2006 Well, I was surprised that I hadn’t heard of this before when I first rated it, living so close and all. I was also surprised by the ugly color, sort of a washed out lemonade. Flavor was okay, with a lemonade flavor and aftertaste. Lots of head and heavy lacing, the opposite of my first rate, which gives me a real feeling of inconsistancy in their brewing/bottling process..

Really good balance between malt and hops. very pale and golden with a fluffy light head. just enough "lager" taste to make this one pretty enjoyable!

Fair, flowery, some sweet. Decent lager with enough substance to avoid ennui.

I like this beer fine, but I'm on the dark side of the force by nature and had a six of these next to a six of the schwarzbier with a great dinner of jumbalaya at my cousin's place. The nice hop action accompanying a good clean malt sweetness was nice, but just nice amidst the exotic company. I might rerate the black brew up a few notches, but I can't quite rave shoulders with you on this one, Michael.

Maybe I’m biased because the leopold brothers have a great setup... hazy golden color which was pretty cool looking... fluffy head; this was a delicate beer really, with slight citrus notes and a flavor similar to a wheat... needless to say, the yeast made it’s presence known; worked well with a great hop presence that added some bite. I liked this beer a lot... will try more from those crazy brothers; oh those crazy brothers...

Mirky golden color, strong floral aroma. Tastes very much like a hefeweizen. Too much so. Yet, has a nice, balanced citrus taste, but not overpowering. Good, long finish. Absolutely beautiful head.
