2 x 25 cl bottles into one glass at home (greedy me). Straightforward pour, nice golden yellow colour with a small white head. Proper lager aroma, sweet almost buttery malt with the characteristic vegetable hop aroma. Slightly sweet taste, with a good bitter edge. Nice rich mouthfeel with lots of chewy malt. A nice, satisfying brew and overall a good lager, true to its type.

On tap at De Bonte Koe, Leiden. Pours clear light golden, big creamy white head. Aroma of dusty hops. Taste is crisp, almost crunchy herbal hops, nice sweetish malty at the end. Not bad.

Tap at the Bonte Koe, Leiden. Poured a crystal clear straw with a round white head. The aroma is malt, yeast, fruit caramel. The flavour is medium bitter with a big hop bitter palate. Light bodied with average carbonation.

Clear pale straw yellow beer, creamy off-white head, stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: very malty, hay, grains, cow fodder, very German profile. MF: soft carbon, medium to light body. Taste: very malty, grains, hay, cow fodder, metallic, pretty bitter.

4th August 2008. Very pale lager. Crisp and thirst quenching. Barely a rtae of malt. A little hop sharpness in the end. Was parched when I drank this and it hit the spot.

2008-03-02. As Sas Pils. Crisp yellow body, modest white head and slight lacing on the glass. Mosdest grassy straw and hops in the aroma. Pleasant light bitterness throughout, noble hops, light notes of grass and straw. Average palate. Refreshing change after a day of Belgian style brews, but an average pilsener at best.
On tap at De Kollebloeme, Ypres, Grote Markt

Gently herbal hop snout with light conifer, hay, bread, honey, tiniest hint of orange. Clean, grassy and lemony with a touch more spruce, noble presence, fruit, bitterness than a bog standard pilsy lager. But not much. Inoffensive but drab.
