2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 8/20
Bottle from Beer52.
Pours dark brown/black half a finger off white head. Aroma of malts, spices, toasty malts, sugary sweetness, caramel, honey. Taste of initial sugar, caramel, almost a malt liquor, toffee, sarsaparilla, light smokiness. Not bad, just very sweet.

1.1 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 3/20
Bottle. Bought this a little blind.
Nose: Non-existant slight malt a little sugar and wet cardboard. Taste is horrific. Sugar and sweet malts, with a sickly finish. Slight emerging milk chocolate, but really itís just sugar.
My first Het Sas beer, and I will not be rushing back, I canít recall a worse Belgian beer.

2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20
Bottle. Pours black with small light brown head. Aroma is vague with hints of malt, coffee, apple pie and barnyard. Taste is very sweet, light acidic and faint bitter. Body is oily with light carbonation. Finish is long and mostly sweet with notes that follow the nose. Itís more like a sweet schwartz bier than a stout.

1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 1/20
beige dense head leaves some lacing. brown colour. so far so good. aroma is very sugary sweet, faint hit of roasted malts. taste is a complete sugary mess that tastes like sugar and nothing else. calling this "beer" is a total insult, calling it "stout" even more. no body, over carbonated. a repulsive mess, even my sink didnít like to swallow it! bottle 33cl

2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
BOTTLE 33 CL.
Look: clear deep red-brown, big beige head.
Aroma: lageresque, sulphury aroma, a hint of black malts and toasted bread. A touch of hops.
Taste: sugary sweetness, brown sugar, never really balanced by hop bitterness, as the after taste remain cloying.

2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Bottle from Beers of Europe. Thin dark brown coloured beer, pretty high carbonation. Sweet and sugary. Some malt loaf and chocolate hints, but mostly sugar. Itís not violently unpleasant but way too sweet for my taste.
